If you’re not a raw foodist, making a strawberry smoothie is simple: just blend a handful of strawberries, a cup of yogurt, a tablespoon of honey, and a handful of ice. However, raw vegans sometimes have a harder time replicating the creamy sweetness of a traditional strawberry smoothie.
To match the creaminess of yogurt, try bananas or nut milk. If you don’t have nut milk handy, simply add a handful of raw nuts and a cup of water to the blender. Use a couple figs or dates instead of honey to keep it vegan. You can also have fun experimenting with vanilla or coconut.
